The 65-plus paid parking meter and wi-fi computer towers in downtown Ventura, California need to be removed because they are unreliable, inconvenient, environmentally insensitive, non-historic, bad for business and represent an uncontrolled, non-voter approved tax/fee increase. Congratulations to our candidates for a great campaign. All three conducted themselves with honor, and dignity. Thank you and have a happy remove-the-meters 2012. Our next effort involves possible legal actions against the City addressing the lawfulness of the original installation of the meters in September 2010, and whether lawful protocol was followed by City Staff, City Attorney, City Manager and Council.
